Electronic issuance of permits for the transit of dangerous goods will begin in September
On July 17, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted Resolution No. 434, which amends and supplements Resolution No. 62 of February 21, 2002 "On state regulation and control of transit of special cargo and military contingents through the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan." These changes concern the transition to electronic registration of permits for the transit of dangerous goods.From September 1, 2024, the process of obtaining permits for the transit of dangerous goods will take place electronically according to the following algorithm:
- The applicant submits the necessary documents to the Ministry of Transport.
- The Ministry of Transport sends the documents to the authorized bodies to obtain conclusions within two days.
- The authorized bodies submit their conclusions within seven days.
- The Ministry of Transport issues a permit within five days.
The document entered into force on July 26, 2024.
