Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan signed a military cooperation plan

The Defense Ministers of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan discussed the prospects for bilateral military cooperation and signed a plan of joint work for 2027.

The meeting between Uzbekistan’s Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov and Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov took place as part of the working visit of the Uzbek delegation to Azerbaijan.

The parties noted that military cooperation between the two countries is based on friendly and brotherly relations, and also emphasized its importance for the development and strengthening of the armed forces of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

During the talks, the ministers discussed in detail cooperation in the military and military-educational spheres, as well as other issues related to defense cooperation.

Following the meeting, the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan signed the Plan of bilateral military cooperation for 2027.
