The document was signed in Moscow by the heads of the defense ministries of the two countries.
Uzbekistan’s Minister of Defense, Shukhrat Khalmukhammedov, held talks with Russia’s Minister of Defense, Andrey Belousov, during his working visit to Moscow.
During the negotiations, both sides noted that cooperation in several areas contributes to the further strengthening of bilateral relations.
At the end of the meeting, the ministers signed a military cooperation plan between Uzbekistan and Russia for 2026–2030.
It should be recalled that in January of this year, in Tashkent, the Ministries of Defense of Russia and Uzbekistan signed a Cooperation Plan for 2025 and a Strategic Partnership Program in the military sphere for 2026–2030.
