Uzbek judokas take 1st place at the World Military Championship
Uzbekistan, Tashkent – Podrobno.uz News Agency. Uzbek military judoists took first place at the World Championship in Tashkent with 5 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals.From October 14 to 20, the competition among more than 400 military judoists from 30 countries is being held for the first time in Uzbekistan in the Yunusobod Sports Complex.
Based on the results of the two days of the championship, medalists in more than 10 weight categories in the singles program were determined.
Gold was won by Khikmatillokh Turaev (in the category up to 81 kilograms), Rustam Shorahmatov (-100 kg), Shokhrukh Bakhtiyorov (+100 kg), Gulhayo Juraeva (-52 kg) and Shakhram Akhadov (-73 kg).
Silver was won by Khalima Kurbonova (-48 kg), Nigina Saparbaeva (-63 kg), Abdurakhim Nutfullaev (-66 kg), Muso Sobirov (-81 kg) and Iriskhon Kurbanboeva (+78 kg).
The bronze medalists were Laziza Khaidarova (-48 kg), Nilufar Ermaganbetova (-57 kg) and Bakhrom Boturov (-60 kg).
Thus, our compatriots won the world championship in singles in the team event, winning 5 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals.
Today, the medalists in the team program will be determined.
