Uzbekistan and Türkiye will expand cooperation in the field of military medicine
Uzbekistan and Türkiye will cooperate in training and advanced training of military doctors, exchange of specialists, joint treatment of patients and scientific research. About thisit was saidat a meeting with the president on Monday.
During Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit to Turkey in January, there wassignedagreement on education and cooperation in this area. At the presentation, measures proposed for implementation within the framework of the document were presented.
The agreement provides for the training of specialists in the areas of general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, prevention, medical professional and higher nursing education, as well as master’s and postgraduate studies. In addition, it is planned to retrain and improve the qualifications of military doctors.
The parties intend to expand cooperation in scientific areas of medicine, hold seminars, congresses and symposiums, and establish an exchange of teachers, consultants, researchers and students. Joint exercises, joint treatment of patients and cooperation on the creation of medical institutions are also envisaged.
Defense Minister Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov, in an interview with the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel, said that the head of state signed a resolution approving the agreement.
“Cooperation is envisaged in training, retraining, advanced training of specialists, exchange of experience and treatment of patients in almost 10 areas of medicine, including dentistry, pharmacy and general medicine,” he said.
According to the minister, the development of international cooperation will expand the possibilities of training personnel in the field of military medicine, conducting high-tech surgical operations and scientific research in current areas of medicine.
In April the Presidentheardreport by Defense Minister Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov on work to strengthen military cooperation with Turkey. A high representative of the Turkish Armed Forces also attended the meeting. The parties discussed issues of further interaction between the defense departments of the two countries, including military-technical cooperation, expanding interdepartmental contacts, holding joint events and training military specialists.
