Uzbekistan develops draft law on artificial intelligence regulation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A group of deputies submitted to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis a bill aimed at regulating relations arising from the use of artificial intelligence technologies.

The bill defines the concept of "artificial intelligence", establishes the main directions of state policy in this area, and also establishes the functions of the authorized body.

The document provides for mandatory labeling of information resources created using artificial intelligence technologies. In addition, such resources and information systems operating on their basis should not violate human rights, life, health, freedom, honor, dignity and other inalienable rights.

The bill also prohibits making decisions regarding human rights and freedoms solely on the basis of conclusions generated by artificial intelligence systems.

In addition, the document introduces liability for the illegal processing of personal data using artificial intelligence technologies, as well as for their dissemination in the media and the Internet.
