Uzbekistan to create system to enhance industrial safety
Uzbekistan, Tashkent - Podrobno.uz News Agency. By the end of 2025, the country will launch a "Unified Integrated Ecosystem" that will ensure effective control in the field of industrial, radiation and nuclear safety. It is being created for the purpose of complete digitalization of the sphere and will be integrated with the information systems and resources of other ministries and departments. This is envisaged by the presidential decree of December 24, 2024.The system will be an important step in improving safety, including revising existing requirements, introducing remote control mechanisms and increasing liability for violations.
As part of the reforms, the functions of safety supervision in metallurgy will be transferred to the Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety, and inspections will be created in its structure in Navoi, Almalyk, Bekabad and on the railways.
In addition, from July 1, 2025, the procedure for imposing fines on legal entities for certain offenses in the field of industrial, radiation and nuclear safety will come into force.
