SCO countries agreed on security, energy and new projects until 2035
At the SCO summit, held on September 1, 2025, the heads of state approved the organization’s development strategy until 2035, agreed on the creation of new security centers and drugs, and also decided to expand partnerships and the status of an observer under the CIS.
The list of documents is published on the website of the President of Russia.
The heads of state approved the Tianjin declaration, and also approved a number of key documents:
SCO development strategy until 2035;
A program of cooperation in counteracting extremist ideology for 2026–2030;
"Road map" for energy cooperation until 2030.
In addition, it was decided to create an anti -drug center and the universal center to counteract the calls and threats of security.
Among other solutions:
the provision of Laos of the status of a partner on the dialogue;
obtaining a shock of the observer status at the CIS;
announcement of the city of Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyzstan) tourist and cultural capital of the SCO for 2025–2026;
Approval of annual reports on the activities of the organization and the regional anti -terrorism structure.
On the sidelines of the meeting, a protocol was signed to an agreement on the conditions of stay of the SCO Secretariat in China and a memorandum of cooperation with the Roscongress Foundation.
In addition, the heads of state have accepted joint statements about the development of the digital economy, “green” industry, artificial intelligence, science and innovation, as well as the support of a multilateral trading system and the fight against drug trafficking.
