Snipers of Uzbekistan won international competitions in South Korea
Among the 54 teams representing 10 countries, military personnel from Uzbekistan turned out to be the best, taking first place at the international snipers tournament.
From September 8 to 15, the II International Sniper Tournament was held in the Province of Kvangju, in which the team of the Ministry of Defense took part for the second time.
The competition was attended by 54 sniper teams from 10 states. Uzbekistan represented two teams.
The competition included special tactical exercises, performed both in the daytime and at night. The participants needed the skillful use of pistols, machine guns and sniper weapons for accurate shooting at various distances - in city, mountains and forests.
Team skills were evaluated according to the following criteria:
- firing at long distances from a large angle;
- Fire from uncomfortable shelters in non -standard situations;
- secretive advance to the enemy object on magnetic azimuth in an unfamiliar area;
- high -precision shooting under a strong physical and psychological stress;
- the use of tactical medicine on the battlefield;
- high -speed shooting from a pistol and a machine gun at close distances;
- detection of goals and determining the distance in the daytime and night;
- shooting from unfamiliar sniper weapons;
- overcoming large distances in the mountainous area with complete equipment;
- shooting from a position on a moving aircraft and military equipment.
According to the results of the competition, the team of Uzbekistan took the honorable first place among foreign states, gaining 539.5 points. In second place are snipers from Vietnam with 534.7 points. The three leaders were closed by US soldiers with a result of 519 points.
The Ministry of Defense noted that last year a team from Uzbekistan took second place in these competitions.
Upon returning to their homeland, the winners were solemnly met at Tashkent International Airport.
